Saturday, May 3: Furry Scurry
Washington Park, 1000 S. Downing, Denver. 9 a.m. Register at www.ddfl.com or at the event beginning at 7 a.m. Join the Dumb Friends League and other animal lovers from around Denver for a two-mile walk and fun run to benefit the animals of the Dumb Friends League. Enjoy refreshments and demonstrations throughout the day and shop at the vendor booths. Enter the Pet/Person look-alike contest and best pet trick contest. You may also raise pledges and earn great prizes!
Saturday, May 10: 18th Annual Fire Hydrant 5

Boulder County Fairgrounds. 8:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Register at www.longmonthumane.org A family-friendly fun event celebrating the bond between owners and their pets. Demonstrations, a microchip clinic, pet caricatures, AKC Canine Good Citizen testing, music and more. Proceeds from the event support the Longmont Humane Society.

Sunday, May 18: Rocky Mountain Lab Rescue Doggie Dash 5K
8:30 a.m. Caranci Park (Louisville Dog Park) 955 Bella Vista Drive Louisville, CO 80027 This fun family (and dog) event in Louisville, Colorado can be as competitive or as leisurely as you desire. There will be three wave starts based on order of registration. The race/walk will be on the Coal Creek Trail, sure fun for you and your dog. After the 5K stick around for various vendors such as pet sitters, doggie massages, healthy treats, a doggie bath, educational expos for kids and dogs and all the current doggies available for adoption from the Rocky Mountain Lab Rescue. Find out the where, when, and how to have a great time in the Colorado outdoors with your furry friend in from Ania Savage, the author of the book "Best Hikes with Dogs Colorado." A visual presentation will be followed by a Q & A session about the numerous hiking opportunities in Colorado. Savage will also sign copies of her book. Tasty southwestern snacks and refreshing beverages will be provided by Island's.

Monday, June 16: Mulligan for Mutts

Lakewood Country Club. 2:30 p.m. Register at www.tablemountainanimals.org. Help give animals a second shot at the 3rd annual Mulligan for Mutts golf benefit. This year features a full dinner, great prizes and more. Registration fee.
